What started as a way to turn birthday cakes into poetic displays of art and imagination for my kids has grown into a love letter to sugar, craft, celebrations, and memories. What we do now is simply an extension of that same magic. Baking moments that feel personal, beautiful, and made with heart.
We Started with a Birthday Cake...
It all started at a kitchen table, with a bright-eyed baby on my hip and a birthday I was determined to make magical...even if my wallet didn’t quite share the same vision. That first celebration sparked a love for baking that blended creativity, care, and the quiet joy of doing it myself.

In 2007, as a young mother, I set out to make something special from what I had. One cake became many. One celebration became a craft. And somewhere in the piping, the flour, and the laughter, I found something bigger than a hobby. I found a way to turn love into something you could see, taste, and share.

Butter & Hearth was born from that same place where love and necessity meet, where memory is kneaded into dough and joy is laced into icing. What began as a mother’s quiet offering became a devotion to the everyday rituals that anchor us. I bake not just for my children but for yours as well, leaving behind a sweet memory that lingers long after the last crumb is gone.
